This is a private SAR course.
The Rope Rescue Team Member Evaluation is the evaluative component of the rope rescue training program. Individuals who have attended a Rope Rescue Team Member course and have submitted a rope training log consisting of 20 hours of skills practice under the direct supervision of a JIBC certified Rope Rescue Team Leader are eligible. The two and a half day evaluation consists of a written exam and six skills stations focusing on anchor and ties, belay systems and edge, lowering systems, haul systems, stretcher rigging and rappelling and ascending. The final day of the evaluation consists of several scenarios providing an opportunity for candidates to demonstrate their proficiency working as part of a team in a simulated response environment. This is strictly an evaluative session. Students must come prepared for the assessment as no instruction will be available.
